Beet.tv is reporting that The Associated Press recently launched a YouTube channel, where editors are now uploading about 250 videos a week.  The uploaded videos are both edited reports and clips of raw footage. While the YouTube channel is updated regularly, some breaking news is kept for AP members and customers and uploaded to YouTube the next day. The channel is part of AP’s to provide video to citizen journalists, social networking sites and online communities.

Reuters also has a YouTube channel and is uploading three to five clips per day.
